Things a girl should do before marriage

Girls look out! Marriage can wait, There are lots of other things you should try before you tie the knot... We present to you some of the interesting stuffs to try before marriage.

Things a girl should do before getting married

Travel solo:

It is important for a person, irrespective of guy or girl to travel solo because new places and environments help you learn about your likes, dislikes, ‘not venturing/venturing into that’ zones, etc. On a whole, you learn about yourself better which you probably wouldn’t have come across when you’re at home in your comfort zone. Travelling solo could be applied to even going for a movie, a play, any recreational activity or even a little alone time at a park.

Live in a house of your own:

Set it up, decorate it the way you desire, build your dream home and live in it for a few years. Learn about your bills, expenses, cooking skills, house guests and learn all about managing a house single handed, before you jump from living with your parents to living with your husband and the new family. You could also opt to live in a different city to combine travelling solo, meeting new people and having a house of your own.

Find a hobby:

Take a few classes, of maybe yoga, pottery, zumba, painting, guitar lessons or any other classes that you’ve been pushing aside for various reasons. You could perhaps learn a new language also. Find your hobby and don’t let go of it this time!

Meet new people:

This one applies on a person whether or not they travel out station. Try and make conversation with people you meet on the bus/train you catch, a new place you’re visiting and get to know the background stories of different people. Those stories will give you most realizations or even experiences to an extent that you could learn a lot from, to apply in your own life!

Seek Knowledge:

Be inquisitive. Read books, blogs, articles, newspapers, magazines, anything at all to gather some solid knowledge of the world you are living in. Don’t entirely neglect the subjects you quit after school. Light reading is always beneficial.

Be Independent:

Learn how to fix a leaking tap, a tyre puncture, simple electrical works of the house and other such things you would normally depend on a guy to help you out with. Being financial independent is also equally important.

Go for a trip with the guy:

You definitely would like to know what you’re in for before you sign up for it and one of the ways to that would be this! So, plan a vacation with the guy you’re getting married to. A vacation with him will help both of you understand each other better and is similar to the outcomes of travelling solo.
