Dress according to the season: Winter special

Fashion, mode, styles and trends, they mostly derive from the same meaning which is anything that becomes a popular trend in clothes, shoes or accessories. These trends definitely do change with the passage of time and vary across seasons. Who decides this? Well, when any particular prominent person decides what they think is different and could be a trend setter, it’s in. This trend is picked up few others and volià! A new style emerges. There is no must or compulsion but people just like adapting and trying out the novel ideas. Fashion is about what pleases the eyes but doesn’t that vary from one to another? Despite all of this, there are a basic set of ideals that such trends setters do follow, one of them being dressing according to the season at hand. Let’s take a broader glance into the winter wardrobe.

Dark colors

The right colors are important when it comes to attire according to the season. Darker colors absorb sunlight hence serve the purpose of giving warmth. Not only this but the fact I that it gives class and defines the body shape giving an illusion of slenderness especially since one would be covered with layers.

V- Neck sweaters

These sweaters, apart from providing a layer of heat give a great look when paired with denims or formal pants. The various colors and patterns that can be worn provide a large range of selection. It can be even work with shirts below it, to give a formal look or it can be worn casually with just a t-shirt.

Loose, knitted sweaters

Such sweaters are back in trend which tend to fall along the body frame, not well fitted but are long, maybe till the mid thigh level. These look great with leggings, tights or stockings paired with boots or sneakers. It’s the most comfortable yet warm casual style one can adopt.

Hoodies

Sweatshirts with the hood attached are the ideal casual outfit for the winters. It gives way for wearing more layers beneath. It can easily be paired with tights, denims, sweatpants/ joggers or even skirts. It gives a good mix and match wear and never goes out of fashion. There are even crop hoodies introduced for girls that adds a slight variation to this style.

Leather jackets

At least one such jacket is a must have in each one’s wardrobe. Through the ages, this trend still continues! The class a leather jacket gives cannot be denied. It literally makes one stand out. Going for a party but don’t have a dress? Do not panic, a leather jacket does the job. It can be worn with t-shirts, shirts, sweaters or chiffon tops underneath and it goes with almost all kinds of bottoms, denims, pants, skirts, dresses or even leggings. Stilettos, boots, high-tops or Oxford shoes look the best with the jacket.

Closed pair of shoes

The biggest fashion faux pas one can make is wearing uncovered shoes during winters. It’s a big no -no. Pair up your outfits with various kinds of boots, sport shoes, trainers, high-tops, slip one, Oxford shoes or even ballerinas but do not wear sandals, slippers or open flats. It dulls the entire outfit. Plus, open pairs don’t serve the purpose during winter.

Beanies and mufflers
These are the best accessories for the cold season that adds to the look. A beanie is a woolen, loose cap that looks trendy in almost all kinds of outfits except formal ones. It gives a cool look as well as keeps the head warm. Mufflers are also items that never go out of fashion. It gives warmth as well as gives a stylish look. The various colors and patterns it comes in can be mixed and matched according to the outfits.
