Teenage rebellion is one in a set of a behavioral trait, It may be natural or necessary, Continue reading to know more about why the teens rebel?
Rebellion among the current youth
Kids grow up we say. Obedience was the only way
initially but for how long? As these kids grow up, they begin questioning every
action and reaction around. Such questioning leads to forming individual
perspectives and hence deviation from strict laws and societal norms. Not all
of these are morally acceptable. There comes a stage in everyone’s young
person’s life where they want to be in control, even at the cost of defying
their family standards and various regulations. Why you may wonder.
Various
factors are prevalent:
Overtly strict parents
In such cases, the families of the kid are
strict and have a solid control on most areas. There is absolutely no freedom. The
child is unable to deal with this amount of caging and tend to use aggressive
measures while rebelling.
Exploring and experiencing
Many of the teens are highly curious and are
fascinated by what they see around them. Their peers around may be an influence,
media is another factor. They want to try out what they see, even though it may
be socially unacceptable. Hence the only means they find is to rebel.
Peer groups
Most of the teenagers prioritize their friend
circles and social groups. Many of them may be into various addictive habits
and lifestyles that be contradicting to the teen’s family. Despite that, they
want to be accepted and be a part of a group hence decides to go against their
authorities and enter the rebellious phase.
Broken families
A major factor is no peace at home. When they
see aggressiveness and abusive behavior in families, they do not want to be
associated with such situations. They find no reason to oblige to them and take
decisions on their own. They see no respect between their parents and hence
find it difficult to show that respect back.
Parents are party poppers
Most teens don’t understand that their parents
want to protect them and think of their good. They interpret their concern as not
wanting their kids to enjoy. They think their parents do not want them to have
a good time. They misunderstand this as selfishness hence they decide to
continue doing what they want, thinking they know what’s best for them.
